Ton Schulten

Ton Schulten had his education the Academy of Art and Industry in Enschede where he graduated cum laude in 1962 as graphic and general designer. After a career in advertizing, Schulten decided to dedicate to painting (1989). In 1992 he discovered the Twente bocage as inspiration and his work became more figurative. In 2004 the painting style of Ton Schulten received recognition: his style was described as "Concensisme" by art critic Hartmut Rau. In Ootmarsum you can find a Ton Schulten museum.
