Diana Lepelaar

Diana Spoonbill is her personal reality: terrestrial landscapes in which tension by a contrast between quiet areas and a quasi-random lines. Some works are reminiscent of soil layers, as if they refer to forms from the geological past. Her work evokes images of lakes, landscapes, floor plans and bottom sections. The works of Diana is both, colorful as sober. Materials such as plaster, cement, sand, clay, artifacts and layers of paint play a crucial role. The work is literally packed with layers, as if they want to open up the Earth's crust to discover what lies hidden below. Also in her work in the public space play layers and lines a large role. They reflect the landscape like that lies hidden deep within the Earth.
